Diane Abbott paid a wonderful tribute to the Rabbi Avrohom Pinter that shows how we should be reaching out and building bridges between communities.

Born in 1949 Rabbi Avrohom Pinter, was an English rabbi and a leading figure in the Haredi community in Stamford Hill, London.

He died of COVID-19 on 13 April 2020. He was described by the Board of Deputies of British Jews as "a much loved figure across the community, building bridges between different groups of Jews, Government & wider UK society

Pinter was a local politician who served as a Labour councillor on the Hackney Borough Council Northfield ward. Elected first in 1982 and again in 1986, he represented Haredi interests on the London Jewish Forum.
