BREAKING NEWS - Coronavirus experimental treatment begins in Italy.

A new strategy on those with symptoms of corona virus started in the city of Bologna, Italy. Prophylaxis is being introduced to Italian emergency rooms in two hospiutals. Sant'Orsola hospital and Maggiore hospital. Experimentation against Coronavirus only started two days ago (28th March).

Italian professor leads new strategy against Covid-19

People are intercepted by general practitioners who refer them to the Emergency Department where they find infectious disease specialists ready to enrol them for the administration of early therapeutic prophylaxis (treatment given or action taken to prevent disease) with hydroxychloroquine, an antimalarial, associated with antivirals and possibly with antibiotics.

The head of the operation is Pierluigi Viale, director of infectious diseases for Sant'Orsola and a member of the regional crisis unit.
